What Is Ethereal Beauty?

This artist depicted an Etheral beauty through his paintings.

I remember when I first learned of the word Ethereal. In my high school French class, we were assigned a paper on any French artist we would like.

I didn’t want to do a painter because everyone was doing that, boring.

Impressionist style city to depict Ethereal Beauty

French musician? Is that such a thing as a French musician?

Up until that point in my life, I only knew of Mozart and Beethoven, who tragically lost his hearing.

Claude Debussy, Claire De La Lune, I become obsessed.

The first time I read an “Ethereal beauty is that the moon that shines bright on my most darkest thoughts”.

Or something like that, something came over me, which changed my view on classical music, because up until that point, I didn’t have an affinity for it.

My environment didn’t cultivate such an appreciation for what is called “the fine arts”.

Let’s face it how many poor people nowadays come out being successful in the arts when the only cooking you were taught was to cook crack.

Still, that was the song repeating over and over on my iPod nano (no screen).

It’s an appreciation and a connection to my younger self that brings me joy today.

I think about my younger self “You were on to something my man. It’s been a battle.”

“Who are we as men to not challenge ourselves every day to create and inspire the youth to be better men than we were taught to be.”

As much as I get frustrated when it’s Friday at 9 PM at the gym and there are all these kids (young men), I remain hopeful because when I was their age I was the only one here.

I see the reward of trying to do better by even 1% every day, in my life events and opportunities. Do better by at least 1% every day and you’ll see the gap build.
