“Why is it hard for me to get out of bed”, is that you?
It’s the second week of January and you are wondering why you struggle so much to get out of bed.
Marcus Aurelius in his book “At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of bed, tell yourself: “I have to go to work — as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I’m going to do what I was born for — the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?”
This guy was the Emperor of Rome.

It’s absolutely easy to see someone who appears to have their life together and think “That guy never has trouble getting out of bed.”
Of course, that person has days where the blanket, warmth, and drowsiness all work against them. How can someone not have trouble getting up in the mornings?
You are not meant to stay under the covers and waste away your day. Being comfortable is wherever all ambitions die and never come to fruition.
Imagine again The Emperor of Rome, the most powerful man at the time in the world. An army so vast, with an army never seen before, and many battles won, still struggles with getting up in the mornings.
That should prove to you that everyone faces a lot of the same struggles. Everyone in this world is a human and most of us have shared experiences.
There is one difference.

Over time after making the same choice to overcome that feeling, momentum starts to develop. I talk about this more in this article.
The goal of this article is to assist you in gaining a new perspective on your everyday problems.
